LES RDV CINETIC – Commercial influence: legal issues for content creators and brands

The CINETIC RDV on the theme of “COMMERCIAL INFLUENCE: LEGAL ISSUES FOR CONTENT CREATORS AND BRANDS” took place on Tuesday October 3, 2023 from 8am to 9am, and was hosted by Sandrine VARA, Partner at CINETIC Avocats.

Commercial influence, often associated with influencer marketing, presents a number of important issues for companies, influencers and consumers. France was the first European country to regulate commercial influence with the adoption of a law on June 9, 2023 aimed in particular at protecting consumers by requiring the mention “Paid Partnership” in the event of collaboration with a Brand, particularly on social networks.

Beyond the rules on transparency, content creators and Brands need to be vigilant about the compliance of their activities, in order to evolve in the most secure way possible.
